.Urban Decay Oz The Great and Powerful Glinda Palette | Swatch & Review.
I’m a well known Urban Decay fan and i covet my Naked 2 and Naked Basics palettes like no others, so when i received the press releases for their new Limited Edition palettes i was far too excited and knew at least one of them had to be mine! This time UD have joined forces with Disney and their new film 'Oz The Great and Powerful' to devise two new palettes based around the film’s leading ladies - Theodora and Glinda. Both contain 6 brand new Eye Shadow colours, a Saturating Lip Pencil and Glide On Eye Pencil. Being a proud owner of two darker and more neautral UD palettes i decided to expand the girly side of my makeup collection and pick up the stunning Glinda palette.
The colours inside this palette are simply gorgeous and give you everything you need to recreate Michelle Williams’ Glinda look from the feature by following the easy step by step instructions on the card inside.
Tornado - a deep purple shimmery polish - lovely for contouring.
Aura - 2 irridencent shades in 1: an white with blue shift and a white with a red shift.
Magic - a beautiful pinky purple with a subtle golden shimmer.
Illusion - a pale peach satin colour - perfect for nude makeup days.
Oz - 2 shades in 1: a vibrant glittery gold and a strong glittery silver.
South - a warm pale gray shimmer with silver micro-glitter.
Inside the palette there is also a beautiful deep purple half size 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil and a Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colour in ‘Glinda’ whch is a very light sheer nudey pink colour.
I gave the Glinda look a whirl when i first opened my palette and the intructions were really easy to follow. I love every single colour in this palette and although the Glinda look as a whole isn’t something i would usually wear (i was itching to bring out the liquid liner!) i’ve been using all the colours from the palette almost every day in various makeup looks. At £35 this palette is an absolute bargain considering that UD shadows retail at £14 each and you’re also getting a travel size pencil and lip colour too! If you fancy a change from the browns and the nudes, then the Glinda palette is perfect for you!
You can get your hands on this stunning palette from the House of Frazer website HERE at just £35 - but be quick, they’re limited edition!
