.Damn it.
Our plasterer fell of a ladder yesterday and sprained his ankle….he was meant to be plastering our last wall today and now he can’t get to us until monday!
Oh the joys of property development and all it’s unforseen setbacks! I’m still starting to move in on wednesday after work, even if we have to cover the wall until we get a chance to paint it!!

.One more day till freedom (again).
Still loving all these bank holidays! Just got to get through tomorrow’s workload before we get another 4 day weekend, and i get more chances to work on the house. We have so much painting to do, and the boyfriend has to lay the floor in the living/dining room too! Oh, and we still don’t have a toilet plumbed in…
But on the plus side, our stainless steel fridge looks super sleek...

.Our fridge-freezer is on it's way.
Just got a text from Indesit and John Lewis to let me know that our fridge-freezer is about an hour away!!!

I’ve been thinking recently about how my mum’s accident has been a good thing in so many ways.
She is head of department at a local secondary school and like so many teachers in england right now, times are getting harder and stress is on the rise. She goes to school at 7am and doesn’t stop working until around 10pm most nights (and still hasn’t caught up with her...

.Last day before back to work and there's lots to...
Painting the bathroom today while the boyfriend does the bedroom and hall prep. Doors are being fitted as well today!
It’s a but scary to think it should all be done next Wednesday! We’ll still have bits to do like the front door, drive, garden etc but the house will be pretty much done and ready to live in.
Scary days but very exciting ones none the less!

.Well deserved dinner.
Having a BBQ with the boy tonight! Chilli sausages, burgers, salad and wine!
We’ve set our move in date as the 4th of may as that’s when the carpet guy comes to fit the floors which is the last step. We’ve got so much to do by then it’s crazy but it gives us something to work towards!

.Actual cookware nerd.
I’ve just spent a ridiculous amount on a 5 piece Tefal saucepan and frying pan set online. I could have just gone to IKEA and brought a load of pots and pans for about £3 each but seeing as me and the boyfriend are cookery geeks, we’ve gone for the best.
To be fair, Tefal items last for years so in the long run they’re totally worth it. It just looks like such a daunting total...

Today the boyfriend brought his 8th car in the 4 years we’ve been together!
I have officially lost track of his motoring shenanigans. He’s never lost money on a car, and he’ll actually make on this one helping us to get a very nice oak floor in the living room, but i don’t know how he has the energy to do it all!

.So many bank holidays coming up.
I have two weeks of only working three days thanks to a cleverly placed day of annual leave and all the bank holidays! And then after that i’m sure we get another monday off, so that week will only be four days…thank you england!
It will give us so much extra time to get the house done seeing as it’s near completion and the painting is going to take ages. Two pairs of hands all...
