.NARS Satin Lipstick in Tolede | Review & Swatch.
Believe it or not, this is my first dip in the NARS makeup pool *gasps of horror from around the room*. I know i know, i’m a terrible beauty blogger but i’ve just never gotten round to picking anything off their beautiful monochrome stands so i was very excited when one of their satin lippies fell onto my doormat. Introducing their beautiful subtle shade Tolede*.
First of all, i love the packaging. So smart and recognisable. The finish is slightly rubbery though so it’s probably going to pick up a few stains easily, however it feels robust and high quality. Inside you’ll find a super matte looking lipstick that transfers onto the lips to leave a beautifully moisturised but not glossy lip colour. It’s a very subtle brown/red almost, perfect for those days you don’t feel like rocking a super bold lip but still want a bit of colour. The colour pay off is great and it lasts very well too with a gentle fade so you don’t have to worry about having that cup of tea or sandwich at lunchtime.
I just love everything about this lipstick, it feels like such a luxurious item and i may have to investigate some other shades. I’m normally a matte girl through and through but NARS may have just swayed me – one very happy bunny over here! The big question is, what to buy next?
