It’s no secret we love a glass of fizz over at xameliax so I’ve teamed up with Freixenet* to create this amazing Christmassy cocktail with ginger and orange flavours perfect for sipping with your turkey!
There are lots of things I love about Christmas and food is one of them – pate, cheese boards, mince pies, pigs in blankets and of course Gingerbread! I had a go at making Gingerbread Men for the first time this year and they went down such a storm (check out my recipe here!) they inspired this drink – The Gingerbread Fizz Cocktail! I love a cold bottle of Freixenet too, it was the first cava I ever fell in love with and we always have a bottle ot two knocking around in case a cork needs popping.
What You’ll Need
1.5 Tsp Ginger Syrup (you can get this out of a jar of stem ginger)
1 Tsp Triple Sec
1 Bottle of Freixenet
Orange Peel for Garnish…and optional Gingerbread Man to snack on!
- Pour your Ginger Syrup into your favourite flute (ours are from the LSA International Bar collection)
- Add the triple sec
- Top with Freixenet to about 3/4’s full and stir with a bar spoon until mixed
- Top up the glass with more Freixenet and garnish with an orange peel twist!
What you’re left with is a subtly spicy orange infused glass of bubbly that’s perfect for sipping before your Christmas dinner to get you in the festive mood, or afterwards to help settle that food baby!
