Do Robot Vacuum Cleaners Actually Work?
Deebot Ozmo 920 Review
I’ve always been fascinated by robot vacuum cleaners as a house gadget from the future! But the fact is, they’re here right now and cleaning people’s houses while they’re sat with their feet up watching tv…
So if you fancy sitting back and relaxing while a robot does all your chores then take a look at my review of the Deebot Ozmo 920!

MAIN FEATURES:
- Control from your phone
- Multi-mapping for multiple rooms and floors
- Mops and vacuums
- Different floor and intensity settings
- Easy to empty & clean
- Advanced space sensors
I have to say, I’m really impressed with the Deebot Ozmo and our little robot Doris has become one of my most used gadgets!
She’s already mapped out all the rooms in our house and notices straight away if something’s changed (like furniture moving) so she can adjust her map. She works her way around gaps and furniture legs so easily and hasn’t damaged anything thanks to her rubber bumpers and gentle movements – you can see her in action in the video below!
She’s also very good at sensing drops and edges so shes’s able to vacuum right up until the top of our stairs and then turns right away. Very clever!
Battery Life:
On full battery she can easily do all of our rooms before taking herself back to the dock to charge. Plus, if she runs out of battery before she finishes her clean she’ll charge herself back up and pick up where she left off! You can however turn on do not disturb on which keeps her from starting up when you’re trying to sleep or don’t want her to be cleaning – another great feature.
Before I set her off I make sure to pick up any cables like phone chargers (or any of our dog’s toys!) to prevent any tangles and she’s not once run into any problems. She’s brilliant on hard floors and on rugs and there’s several different options to get the optimum clean for your space. If she gets stuck she’ll send you a notification so you can leave her doing what she does best without a worry.
Overall Verdict:
She’s super easy to empty and even her mop mode picks up some serious dirt! She struggles a little on stubborn stains but overall the mop function is a great way to help keep on top of any hard floors.
I can’t rave about the Ozmo 920 enough! We use it nearly every day and it’s really helped keep on top of dog hair and daily dust and grime too.
We don’t know what we’d do without Doris now!
