MAC Breath of Plum Blush | Review & Swatch

I don’t have a massive collection of blushers. I love to try out new things but i probably only have about three or four that i use on a daily basis, and this is one of them. For a number of years i used just one blusher – Brickie from Number 17 – cheap and cheerful and complimentary for an acne covered face. But when my skin started to clear i ventured out into the realms of pink tinted powders and went from one extreme to another with Benefit’s beautifully girly Sugarbomb. Missing my old faithful but wanting the step up the quality of my makeup case i took a wander into MAC for a new darker blush to add to my collection and i stumbled across MAC Breath of Plum.

The clues in the name with this one, it’s a gorgeous deep plum colour that compliments even my super pale skin tone. As always with MAC, it’s a top quality makeup product that’s finely milled and blends beautifully. I apply it with a Real Techniques Powder Blush to the apples of my cheeks over my foundation and it gives a lovely matte flushed look. I prefer matte blushers so i can add highlighter separately if needed so this is perfect for every day wear and it’s quickly become one of my go to blushers. At £17.50 it’s not the cheapest but it’s not the most expensive either and i wouldn’t think twice about re-buying it or any other blushers from MAC as i think it’s worth every penny. The packaging is sturdy and neat too with a clear lid for quick colour spotting in your makeup case. I love it, everything about it and i know where i’ll be heading next time i feel like shaking up my makeup and changing the colour of my cheeks!

You can pick up a pot of MAC Breath of Plum on their website HERE for £17.50!
