My Super Easy Chocolate Bliss Balls Recipe with Orange!
Energy balls, bliss balls, raw balls, they’re everywhere. I keep seeing these little spheres of fruit and nut all over the internet and the other week my curiosity finally got the better of me. I had to try a chocolate bliss ball for myself!
I made mine by hand and added some orange in there, because who doesn’t love chocolate orange amiright?! They turned out so tasty and are great for a chocolate hit when you’re trying to eat a bit cleaner.
No Bake Chocolate Bliss Balls with Orange
What you’ll need
(makes around 24 balls)
– 100g Almonds
– 50g Walnuts
– 12 Medjool Dates
– Juice and rind of 1 Medium Orange
– 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
– 30g Cocoa Powder
– Pinch of Salt
How To
– Chop up your nuts and dates (by hand or in a processor)
– Add in your orange rind and juice, cocoa powder, salt and coconut oil and combine together
– Pinch off parts of the mixture and hand roll into balls
– Roll in a little more cocoa powder to coat and place in the fridge to harden…done!
These Chocolate Orange Bliss Balls are around 90kcals per ball and are full of good fats and protein. They’re actually incredibly rich although the orange flavours do lift the weight of the other ingredients, so one of these is perfect with a cup of coffee in the afternoon.
They also keep in the fridge for about a week…if they last that long!
I’m really pleased with my first foray into the world of energy balls and it’s certainly something I’ll think about making again. Which flavours shall we try next?
