Line up! Line up! For one of the most exciting Barry M launches this year – even more exciting than their beautiful Speedy Quick Dry Collection last month! Introducing the new Barry M Daylight Curing Polish collection, the very first from the brand boasting a gel-like finish that lasts for up to 10 days without the need for a UV lamp! We’re listening Barry…
Starting with a seven strong colour palette (in beautiful new rose gold topped bottles – love!) the Sunset Daylight Curing Polish collection is set to be a sure fire hit with nail addicts across the country, and I for one couldn’t wait to get testing!
Can’t Get You Out of My Red (left) – A classic bright red and a staple for any nail collection, think smouldering 1950’s siren
I’ve Been Pinkin’ (top) – Super Barbie pink perfect for around the pool
Peach For The Stars (bottom) – A beautiful peach coral colour which will be perfect for the summer months, beautiful with a tan and one to suit anyone
Fuchsia Generation (right) – A gorgeous raspberry tone that will see us right through to Winter
Like A Nude (left) – My absolute favourite from the collection, a beautiful near white baby pink. This one needed 3-4 coats but it was totally worth it!
The Way You Make Me Teal (top) – A lovely blue teal colour, not my bag but pretty none the less
You Drive Me Navy (bottom) – A regal royal blue, the perfect shade for any Navy loving polish hoarder.
The Magical Daylight Curing Topcoat (right) – Apply in one layer over your favourite Daylight Curing Polish colour for chip free nails in an instant…well, about 2-5 minutes!
So, do they work?
While i wouldn’t go crossing your gel nail therapist out of your phone book just yet, the Barry M daylight cure polishes are pretty darn good! I managed a whole 6 days rocking Like a Nude before i chipped a corner trying to put up my studio lights (i’m so clumsy!) which i’m incredibly happy with. You don’t need a base coat either so they’re super simple to apply – just sweep two coats of your favourite colour across the nail – using Barry M’s new wider brush, godsend by the way – followed by one coat of the Daylight Curing topcoat and you’re done! It even works under normal artificial lights too so you don’t have to wait for a super sunny day to paint those pointers, and it comes off with normal nail polish remover too so no soaking required!
I really love this new collection and the idea of gel-like nails without UV, the finish is solid and super glossy and i’m so pleased – the names are just too darn adorable too! I can’t wait for Barry M to bring out some more shades in this range, crossing fingers for a mushroom or a mauve!
You can buy the new Barry M Daylight Cure polishes right now online or in Superdrug and Boots for £4.99 a bottle!
Have you tried the Barry M daylight cure polishes? What do you think? How long did yours last?
