Champagne Afternoon Tea | The Apple Tree Barton Marina

The other day my friend Beth and I went for Afternoon Tea at The Apple Tree in Barton Marina, a beautiful little cafe on the marina docks. Always buzzing and the perfect spot for a little afternoon pick me up and a glass of bubbly, The Apple Tree never disappoints.

With a live piano in the corner, large airy ceilings and a real cosy at home feel The Apple Tree oozes elegance and is ideal for catching up with the girls over some delicious cake and pot of Earl Grey. As far as afternoon teas go this is a gooden, with hearty sandwiches, excellent scones and adorable mini cakes. We thoroughly enjoyed it all (even if we didn’t finish the cakes) and were more than happy to hand over the mere £14.95 including Champagne (just £9.95 without).

My only criticism would be that our tower looked a little on the messy side which didn’t really fit with the rest of the surroundings but the quality more than made up for a few rough sandwich edges so it wasn’t a great hardship!

All in all we had a wonderful afternoon and we’ll certainly be back for another round, for less than £15 including a glass of good quality fizz in lovely surroundings, The Apple Tree is a must visit for any afternoon tea fan.

You can take a look at the rest of The Apple Tree menu and book a table here.
