RUSH Hair Salon Birmingham

RUSH Salon Birmingham Review

This week I pottered on down to Birmingham’s newest salon, RUSH for a well-overdue cut! RUSH Hair Salon opened it’s doors to the public on the 24th of this month and since it’s launch it’s already made quite an impression on the locks of Birmingham. Located opposite House of Fraser on Corporation Street RUSH’s super sleek monochrome salon is home to a team of well trained stylists ready to pamper, preen and transform your hair from just £30. I went long with my friend for a bit of a girly pamper to see if RUSH could transform my super long mane from flat to fab!

After our consultations we were whisked through to the washroom which was like a little spa inside the busy salon! Walls of beautiful products and some very comfy chairs made the part I usually hate most about having my hair cut a real dream. Before I knew it I was all washed and conditioned and ready to be trimmed!

David was in charge of me and my hair today and from the moment I sat down I felt in good hands. We talked through my usual style, what I liked, what I didn’t like and I put my hair in David’s well trained hands to snip and style away! We went for a fuller side swept fringe, some micro-layers to help give structure and a fraction off the bottom as surprisingly my super long hair was in pretty good condition – brownie points for me! David chatted away while I sipped on a Lemon and Ginger tea and watched him work. RUSH Hair Salon Birmingham Review (1)

David used a number of products on my hair explaining everything as we went along. He even brought out and old-school mousse which surprised me but the results were amazing – I’ll definitely be giving that product a go. With some gorgeous oils and a bit of styling with the new teardrop shape GHD wand we were all done in record time and my hair looked absolutely gorgeous.

RUSH Hair Salon Birmingham Review (13)I was so pleased with my new locks when we walked out the door – super soft, smooth, shiny and cut expertly well. I love my new fringe and the way my hair moves with those micro-layers is quote simply beautiful, I’m really impressed. A cut and blow dry with David will set you back £54 as he’s one of RUSH’s Style Directors but you can grab a blowdry for as little as £30 or a cut and blowdry with a RUSH stylist from £42.

The new RUSH Salon is gorgeous and you’re certainly in safe hands with these stylists. I’d definitely go back the next time my hair needs taming and it’s worth checking out the next time you’re in the city and in need of a new style!
