I thought i’d found the perfect red when i got my beautiful Chanel Rouge Allure and it really is beautiful. Sadly though the classic packaging and the stunning bright cherry red colouring don’t make up for the fact that it feathers, fades and smudges like a bugger! Since my Chanel Rouge days (my first real foray into the world of bold lips) then i’ve tried out a lot of lippies and sadly it just doesn’t cut the mustard anymore.
Enter yet another MAC masterpiece, Ruby Woo. It’s vibrant, it’s classic and best of all it stays put! I love MAC’s matte shades because there really is no budging them; on in the morning and right through to lunchtime via multiple cups of teas and breakfast biscuit snacks – not a problem! I’ve swatched it up above next to the other reds in my collection as i wanted to show you just how much of a perfect red it is. Don’t get me wrong, there are still days when i reach for the fiery hotness of So Chaud, or the more subtle purple undertones of Maybelline’s Hollywood Red but for a go to red lip that won’t let you down the MAC Ruby Woo has to be it!
