For my birthday this year I got treated to a night away in a top boutique hotel in Manchester with some amazing food and a few glasses of fizz…the perfect gift ey!

This time it was the turn of Hotel Gotham a fabulous find that I’d never heard of before this weekend but one that must be shared.

Hidden in the city centre in a gorgeous listed building Hotel Gotham is fast becoming Manchester’s worst kept secret – If you like luxury hotel rooms, quirky homeware, great service and amazing food then Hotel Gotham with it’s subtle nod to one of my favourite superheroes is for you. Hotel Gotham Manchester Review, Hotel Gotham Restaurant Review (19)

We stayed in one of their Club Rooms which is the perfect size for two for the night. With a giant oh-so comfy king sized bed, luxury faux fur throw covers straight from a lodge in the alps and crisp white sheets, I knew we were in for a great night’s sleep…but not before we explored the mini bar and pampered up in the bathroom!

The mini bar was stocked with all the essentials – booze, soft drinks, water, nibbles and even packages with phone chargers and naughty bits to make your stay that extra bit special (ooeerr mrs!).

We had a coffee machine with branded cups that can be bought downstairs, a great selection of glassware and even little batman shaped homemade biscuits.

Every room has a ‘Swag Bag’ in case you fancied taking anything home with you – load it up with mugs, umbrellas and pay before you check out – it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘shop your stash’Hotel Gotham Manchester Review, Hotel Gotham Restaurant Review (31)

With velvet arm chairs and quirky accessories our room was stylish but also incredibly comfortable – we spent the afternoon sipping champagne with our feet up on the sink-into bed and relaxing before pamper started and we got ready for food and cocktails upstairs on the roof. Hotel Gotham Manchester Review, Hotel Gotham Restaurant Review (26)

With a large bathroom, great lighting (a big plus for me) and a huge monsoon shower getting ready at Hotel Gotham was a joy. We didn’t have a bath in our Club Room but it wasn’t missed – everywhere was spotless and impossibly cool.

In the evening we went for cocktails on the roof in the members only bar which as a guest you have access to, and dined in their Honey Restaurant which were both gorgeous – read my food & drink review here. In the morning we ordered our Pancakes, fruit and a Full English Breakfast to the room to enjoy in our pjs – hotels that bring you breakfast in bed are fast becoming my favourite. We checked out and headed into the city centre for a bit of shopping rounding off our wonderful stay.

With rooms starting at £250 B&B Hotel Gotham isn’t cheap but it certainly impressed us and they often have a lot of hotel deals on with food and drink packages included in your stay.
