High Street Vs High End: A Bobbi Brown Long Wear Dupe | Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum

Last month I was about to re-order my ‘winter foundation’ Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear in Warm Ivory, my go to for broken out and dull winter skin. I love this foundation for it’s longevity and perfect match colouring on my vamp-ish no sun, no fake tan skin but it sets you back a good £30 a time which when you’re trying to save money like I am at the moment isn’t the easiest to swallow. It was then when a bottle of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum* dropped through my door for me to trial and so I held off on my BB order to give this high street favourite a go and see if it lived up to the hype.

The Healthy Mix Serum is a favourite amongst so many bloggers, you couldn’t help but to notice the hype when it first came out and popped up in countless favourites videos and blog posts across the social media scene but I never tried it out myself for one reason or another. Needless to say that my Bobbi Brown order never got placed because this stuff is amazing and I’d even go out on the limb as to call it a Bobbi Brown Long Wear dupe! I have the shade Vanille Clair the lightest they do and it’s a perfect match (rare I find with high street brands) and it feels incredible on the skin. It blends easily, looks super smooth over blemishes, builds up well to cover them and most of all it lasts. I’ve found that even without primer this foundation lasts the day for me in the office under the air con without drying out or going patchy, it really is incredible. I apply it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, add a little Bo-ing Concealer over the top and I’m good to go. It also feels quite light despite it’s medium coverage which is great for helping your skin breath.

I can’t rave about this foundation enough and I’ll certainly be buying another bottle when I run out. Not only have I found an incredible high street dupe, I’ve also saved myself £20 a time….did someone say new lipstick?

You can find the Bourjois healthy Mix Serum and all the shades it comes in on their website HERE for £10.99.
