BBQ Spicy Lamb Gyros with Try Lamb, Love It!
Apparently we’re all set for a bit of an Indian summer in the U.K. this year so don’t put that BBQ away just yet!
I’ve got an awesome recipe for you to try as an alternative to your bog standard beef burgers or hot dogs – Spicy Lamb Gyros which are super easy to make, quick to cook and oh so tasty!
Did you know that lamb is an amazing source of protein and it’s naturally low in sodium so it makes for a great ingredient to cook with. It’s also a great source of B vits and zinc which help beat fatigue and tiredness too. What’s not to love?!
What You’ll Need
(Makes 4 Large Lamb Burgers)
500g lamb mince
1 Red chilli
Quarter bulb garlic
3tbsp Garam Masala
1 Red onion
4 Large Radishes
Finely chop onion, garlic and chilli
Add to mince lamb with garam masala and mush together with your hands – make sure everything is well mixed together!
Roll and pat into 4 burgers
BBQ for 6 mins on each side until cooked through (OR Put under grill on highest setting on a baking tray and grill for 6 mins on each side until cooked)
Cut up lamb burgers and layer into a Pitta bread with sliced tomatoes, chopped red onion, radishes and tzatiki
Tell me, how would you eat yours?
