What a week we had last week – so much fun but slightly random! On Monday I was asked by Match.com to come to London for their #AreYouSantaBodyReady event as part of the Love Your Imperfections campaign they have running. For those who don’t know, Joe and I actually met on Match and we loved our experience so I accepted (with bells on) and hopped on my train down south ready to hug some strangers with my troop of santas…#squadgoals. In the end our more traditional Jolly Santa won the hug-off and our team (and half of Oxford Street) were left feeling incredibly festive and full of candy canes! In the evening I whizzed back up to Birmingham to see Hairspray the musical with my friend Lucy to round of a very random but most enjoyable day!
Tuesday-Friday was spent beavering away at my laptop trying to get all my Christmas and New Year posts and videos set to go so I can have some time off at the end of the month. I launched my third giveaway over on instagram this time for some adorable photo prints and got the cutest dressing gown from Dorothy Perkins that certainly put me in the festive mood!
I also launched my January Photo A Day challenge on Instagram this week so if you’re up for taking some piccies and potentially winning prizes next month then head over here and regram this image to take part! It was so much fun when we did it back in 2014 so I’m excited for a new challenge – it’s a great way to keep busy after the festive period is over – I hope lots of you join in with me as it’s lovely to look through everyone’s interpretations of each word and get some community spirit going on!
At the weekend we went for a festive afternoon tea to celebrate Joe’s mum’s 60th birthday which was lovely although we did end up taking home some mince pies as we just couldn’t finish them! My Sail Leather Strap for my new Olympus Pen turned up in the most adorable wrapping and lots of festive drinking was done! On Sunday Joe and I went for a Christmassy costa and bought Wilson’s presents – he’s been spoilt even though he probably doesn’t know what day he is! After the Christmas food shop we went out for a lovely wintery pub dinner and looked at all the beautiful Christmas lights!
