Well what a two weeks this has been! For those who don’t remember me my name is Amelia and I run the youtube channel and blog xameliax!
Quite a bit’s gone on and changed since the last time I vlogged. First of all I had a little dip and had to have my medication adjusted, but with a little increase, we were back on the road to recovery once more and feeling good. Well, up until we got dumped that is!
Sadly Chris made the decision to leave our relationship after 7 months and to be completely honest, I’m heartbroken. He is such a wonderful person and made me incredibly happy. We’ve been through a lot during our time together so it was a little confusing as to why he would leave when I and things are getting better but he doesn’t see us as right for each other so sadly that chapter has closed.
As you can imagine I’ve been pretty miserable and eaten a lot of feelings with junk food and takeaways! But if there’s anything I’ve learnt in my 29 years on the planet it’s that with matters of the broken heart you simply have to keep moving, dust yourself off and have faith that it means there’s something more out there that you’re destined for.
I will miss him though that’s for sure.
You’ve all been asking and I’m so proud of it I finally revealed my tattoo this week – tada! You guys loved it on instagram so I hope you enjoy seeing it in the proverbial flesh on the vlog. It’s done with White Ink and healing so nicely, pleased as punch.
On Wednesday I went to an event with Air Canada* in London with Lauren. They’ve opened up a pop-up restaurant selling loads of different varieties of Poutine – a Canadian traditional dish! You can go down to the Poutinerie (56 Kingsland Road, E2 8DP) and try your favourite Poutine for around £3.50 and enjoy a drink with friends. The best part is if you post a photo of your Poutine online and tag @AirCanada with the #CoolnotCold you could win a return flight to Canada! AND the event is sponsoring Great Ormand Street Children’s Hospital so yeah, pretty darn good all round really – yummy food, friends, the chance to win a trip of a lifetime and all for a great cause. LOVE.
We had a great time trying all the different flavours and sampling some Canadian lager!
It’s been a rollercoaster of a fortnight but nothing we can’t handle. If this past year has taught me anything it’s that life can change in the blink of an eye but even the most impossible situations can be overcome. Onwards and upwards…now where did I put that stash of Ben & Jerrys?
