.Weekend in Photos.

This weekend we stayed in! After all our gallivanting last weekend we decided to make our own date night on Saturday and i cooked for the boy with love…and lots of wine!

Last week was a really busy one at work so i was certainly ready for the weekend. The only upside was that the postman bought lots of goodies for me to try out and review over the next month or so including some of the lovely Tanya Burr polishes and other toys so watch this space! Friday night was spent watching the last Harry Potter films (as Joe finally finished the books – totally hooked) whilst eating stir fry and curling up on the sofa in pjs from about 6:30pm!

Saturday we headed out to run a few errands – picking up Next orders, buying plants and drinking coffee – all very very important. I decided i wanted to do something with my old NEOM candle jars and brighten up the living room, so i came home with this lovely Kalanchoe and got my green fingers out! After a quick stop at Tesco to pick up ingredients for our romantic evening meal it was about time to get in the shower and start dolling up for date night!

On the menu was a home made Bruschetta with a gorgeous bottle of Chateauneuf-du-pape followed by the best Steak i have ever, ever cooked with Fries, Mange Tout and a creamy but Fiery Peppercorn Sauce. For dessert we enjoyed a Strawberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake on a Shortbread Base followed by a naughty home made Irish Coffee with fresh beans and a healthy slosh of Jamesons! It all went down very well and after another bottle of Rioja and watching Cinderella Man for the first time (what an incredible film) we headed to bed for a well deserved snooze.

Sunday was possibly the laziest day in the world! Sadly it was so grey outside it made blog photos very difficult so i took one for the team, put my laptop away and simply relaxed for the whole day! Comfies, bacon sandwiches, giant cups of tea and lots of cuddles were just what the doctor ordered and we managed to catch up on all our favourite tv programmes too, how productive of us!

Feeling re-charged and a little more able to face another week here we are…if only the weekends were longer ey?!
