Travel Fashion | Walking Tours and Market Stalls

IMG_5945Last week I jetted off to Thessaloniki with the #BlogTrottersGR team – a hashtag you’ll have seen all over my channels recently! We had such an amazing time sight-seeing around the city and it was a real change of pace for me abroad – usually my holiday outfits consist of a multitude of bikinis, some shorts and a tee for breakfast and a suitcase full of pretty dresses and heels for the night time! So because we were wandering around the city, local markets and historical sights I thought it was about time to get some new clobber that would keep me cool and comfortable whilst still looking good on the go – Primark to the rescue, of course!

When you’re walking a lot it’s so important to get comfy shoes. These sandals are from Topshop and have traveled the world with me for the past 5 years…although they’re starting to look a little worse for wear now! They don’t seem like much but they’re super comfy and don’t rub at all – you don’t want to be hobbling round in 30degree heat with blisters, trust me. On the top i’ve gone for a loose fitting light-weight blouse from Primark. They have these in a plethora of colours and they’re super versatile for summer looks. With a rolled up sleeve and decent opacity they make sure a really laid back summery look tucked into a pair of longer line chino shorts like these again from Primark at just £7. Bargain.

I didn’t want to be carrying round my handbag on our trip – it just didn’t feel right, so I invested in a leather look rucksack from Primark at just £10 which was big enough to use as hand luggage and for carrying around all my camera equipment and essentials when out and about in the city. Acessory wise I never go too heavy because of the heat so I chose my favourite Daniel Wellington Leather Watch, a simple necklace from Next and of course my treasured Monica Vinader bracelet.

I did get confused for one of the Dutch bloggers with my milk maid braids but they’re such a great hairstyle for keeping cool in the heat when you have long locks like mine! Leave me a comment below if you’d like to see a tutorial for these, they’re so easy you won’t believe!
