My Hair Care Tricks That Save Me Hours

These days hair care for me during the week is about how quickly I can dry my locks so I can get on with other things, with my luxury products and time-consuming styling being left for the weekend. So today I thought I’d put together a little post to show you some of my hair care tricks and products that are making my life so much easier at the moment with my busy weekday lifestyle!

Bed Head Resurrection Shampoo & Conditioner*

(both can be found on the Hairtrade website HERE)

I was sent this Shampoo & Conditioner set to review from the lovely people at Hairtrade after trying others from this range before and loving them. From their awesome Urban Antidotes range this is the Resurrection set designed to inject a whole lot of moisture back into dry and brittle locks – something I suffer from at the ends all year round but especially in the winter months. Also with my hair being flung up into a high pony for exercise most nights it needs a bit of extra TLC to try and prevent any extra breakages. This set is amazing for moisturising your locks and the shampoo smells incredible – like refresher sweets and I love it! For some reason the Conditioner doesn’t follow suit on the smell front but it really does leave your hair looking healthy, shiny and the ends a lot more in-tact than usual. A little more expensive than your regular supermarket shampoo coming in at just over £6 each they’re not going to fit all budgets, but the quality of the goo inside is worth the price tag in my opinion and they save me from having to use loads of other products on my hair during the week.

Microfibre Towels

(£2 from ebay)

These are an absolute GODSEND. Why I haven’t invested in a set before now actually baffles me as they cut drying time easily in half. Microfibre towels (often used for sports and little biddy babies) absorb water faster than usual towels enabling you to dry your hair in record time. Super long locks like mine take forever to dry with just a hairdryer, so towel drying them before hitting the heat is a must. These are honestly saving me so much time and even enabling me to towel dry and leave my hair overnight which would normally result in me waking up still looking like a drowned rat even after 8 hours! I got a set of two hand towels from ebay for about £2 each and they’re a good size for ruffling through my hair but are slightly too small to wrap it up in – they’re so useful though I might have to invest in some full-sized bad boys!

Batiste Monochrome Dry Shampoo*

(£4.99 for the large cans from Boots, Superdrug or Tesco)

Surprise surprise it’s a Batiste Dry Shampoo! I really don’t think I could live without Batiste in my beauty life – it’s just so good, and saves too much time to count. This is their new Monochrome scent and it’s different to most others I’ve tried. Originally I thought I wasn’t going to like it when I spotted the word ‘musk’ on the front, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised and I find myself reaching for it quite a lot. Many a day during the week my hair is saved with dry shampoo – it’s just the king of all hair care products and everyone, everyone should own a can…or five.
