A couple of weekends back The Bullring invited my camera and I along to their Spring Beauty Fix – a two day event located on the top floor near Selfridges with beauty and fashion fun galore! With colour consultations, makeovers and a beauty amnesty giving shoppers chance to swap their old makeup in exchange for a shiny new voucher to spend, the Spring Beauty Fix had fun for everyone and i really enjoyed my day!
Showcasing new Spring fashion and makeup trends the Bullring team were ready to style with the help of Lancome, Bobbi Brown and Shu Umera giving the ladies of Birmingham a brand new look for the Spring season.
I was out with friends in the evening so the lovely ladies at Lancome transformed my makeup into a stunning smokey evening look with bold shadows and a flawless complexion which was a fantastic experience and I learnt so much! Sat within view of the Umberto Gianni Blowdry Bar I was super tempted to nip over and get my hair done too, but as Joe had been incredibly patient while I had my makeup done I thought I better not push my luck! Maybe some new gel nails at HC LuxSpa?
The lovely Bullring team gave me some vouchers* to spend to help me get involved in the Spring Beauty fun but as we were running late for our dinner reservations I didn’t get chance to spend them on the day – great excuse for another shopping trip which we did the following week! Inspired by the bold look of my Lancome Makeover I built my first MAC palette using two stunningly deep colours Cranberry Frost and Amber Lights. I love them, the colours really make my blue eyes ‘pop’ and I can use my newly learned blending techniques to apply them – it’s amazing how a little colour shakeup can inject so much life into your makeup drawer!
On the day I also had a personal style colour consultation from the gorgeous Emily Jane where I discovered all the shades and colours I should be wearing…and those I shouldn’t! It was a very useful 10 minutes and has certainly made me re-think a few items in my wardrobe – repeat after me: neutrals are your friend!
Such a lovely little event with so much for everyone to do and I still have some vouchers left to spend…I may take my colour lesson with me the next time I’m in Birmingham for some lipstick shopping too!
