Skincare and Makeup For Sensitive Eyes

skincare for sensitive eyes, makeup for sensitive eyes

I have really sensitive often dry eyes so for me finding eye creams or makeup that won’t irritate them or make them feel sore is sometimes a tricky one. But over the years i’ve trialed and tested a whole pile of products so i thought i’d put together a little roundup of my favourites to help you get rid of puffiness, dark circles, soreness and cover up any imperfections on even the most sensitive eyes.

Benefit Puff Off– Not sure if this product sits in the makeup or skincare category but i love it just the same. Instantly brighten up your eyes and take away any puffiness with the cold metal ‘Iron’ tip whilst light reflecting pigments work their magic to lift the eye area and restore it’s youthful glow. It sinks into the skin beautifully and leaves the eye area feeling wonderful – i use mine every morning and i love it.

Jurlique Purely Bright Eye Correcting Cream– This little tube is a real winner if you suffer from dark circles around your eyes. I noticed an almost immediate effect which completely amazed me, i couldn’t believe a product could pack that much of a punch and still be really caring on my skin. Read up a little more on this one in the link above, definitely one to try.

Skin Shop Dry Eye Gel* –  This gel is a lifesaver after a long day at work staring at a screen. A simply non-sticky gel that instantly cools the eye area and soothes any soreness on the lids and around. I find it really helps take down the redness i seem to get near the other corners of my eye and the whole eye area feels so fresh and calm after application.

Skin Shop Dry Eye Concealer* – At just over £11 the Skin Shop Dry Eye Concealer sits in the mid range of beauty products but has a higher purpose than most concealers you’ll find on the shelf at Boots. With a lovely creamy consistency it gives light/medium coverage and feel like water on the skin, no soreness in sight. I had a few issues with the clicker on my tube sticking from time to time which is slightly annoying but the product inside is worth the extra effort for me. It brightens the eye area, covers up colour imperfections and won’t irritate any sensitive patches you have. I recommended this to my mum who often gets a form of eczema on her eyelid and she said it really has changed her life.

Hopefully this has been helpful for those of you with sensitive peepers and if you have any other product suggestions i’d love to hear them…especially anti-aging ones!

Have you tried any of these Sensitive Eye products? Would you recommend any others?
