On The Go Beauty Essentials

On The Go Beauty Essentials

Ok, let’s talk sweaty faces, sore feet, quick fixes and transforming from day to night all in one handbag friendly case – today I’m rummaging through my handbag essentials for beauty on the go and filling you in on the best brands to pop on your arm.

A Red Lip – Red lips go with pretty much everything and can even spruce up a totally naked face so having a good shade in your handbag is a must. I like to keep one of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets in mine because it’s a great shade for me with a tan or without.

Agent Zero Shine Powder and Licnse to Blot Mattifying Balm- These two products are the best thing since sliced bread for stopping shine. I’ve rambled on about them in their own little blog post so if you’re an oily girl you need to left click, right here!

Concealer – This Barry M marvel doubles as a highlighter for losing under eye bags in a flash. It’s not too heavy and it also works great for highlighting on those days you need a bit of help as well as concealing blemishes nicely without clumping.

Mascara – My handbag mascara changes frequently depending on what’s on offer! I like to go for something voluminous and on the lower end of the price scale because I don’t tend to reach for it that often when I’m out and about but it’s always good to have.

Brow Pencil – Usually I go for the Benefit Browzings kit at home but for space saving reasons in my handbag I pick up a pencil. This Barry M number has a spooley on one end too which is great for brow taming and when sharpened well the pencil works wonders for filling in on the go.

Pen Eye Liner – Again one for space saving, I usually use Benefit’s They’re Real Push Up Liner at home but in my handbag I have one from Bourjois that does the trick. Some days you just don’t have time for liner in the morning so being able to draw on a flick in the ladies later on is pretty handy!

Highlighter – I find that a highlighter can give you an instant wake up or perk up throughout the day when applied to the apples of your cheeks, down the nose, in the inner corner of your eye and under the brow bone. My go to is Benefit’s High Beam, it’s just so beautiful especially on pale skin – try sun beam if you’re darker skinned of have a summer glow.

Scrubbers – These are amazing! Scrubbers from Butter London are little nail polish remover wipes in individual packaging! When I’m out and rushing to a meeting I’d rather have no nail varnish than chipped nails so these are perfect for a quick removal when you’re on the go. One should do all 10 nails and they work out at just £1 a go!

Bobby PinsExtra Long. Always.

Dry Shampoo – I never leave the house without my Dry Shampoo and these little cans are awesome! You can pick them up at boots in the holiday isle or in supermarket too. I stock up and use it for a refresh throughout the day especially in the summer months.

Cream Blush – Pretty cheeks and no brush required! You can also double it up as a lip colour if you’re in a rush. The Topshop Cream Blushes are beautiful and super slim for a handbag.

Fold-Up Flat Shoes – I’m forever leaving the city with blisters for running around in shoes that rub. Fold up shoes are a huge essential for me and they come in so many different styles and coloursButterfly Twists are my tried and tested – I have some beautiful little gold glitter pumps (and some wellies!) they’re so pretty and really comfy too!

Oh, and I also always now carry a can of antiperspirant with me too for stressful days! My go-to is Mitchum as it’s the only brand I’ve found that keeps me feeling great all day!
