So last week Joe and I got back from our wonderful holiday in Fuerteventura and I thought it might be nice to share a few photos and tell you about our Resort!  We stopped in the Jandia Princess in Jandia (Morro De Jable) which was one of the prettiest resorts I’ve ever visited with luscious green gardens and palm trees coming out of it’s ears! Fuerteventura is pretty baron but the Jandia Princess was like a little oasis in the dark rocky mountains with a beautiful bright white beach to boot.Jandia princess hotel fuerteventura, hotel review, uk travel blogger, uk travel blog

We were all inclusive for the week and decided to upgrade to black bands which granted us lots of VIP extras and branded drinks throughout our stay! If you’re thinking of booking at the Jandia Princess then I’d recommend upgrading while you’re there rather than through Thomson as it’s a complete bargain in the hotel. We checked into our modern little room and were greeted with a chilled bottle of Spanish fizz which was delicious (although I did have to try it again over the course of the week just to make sure!) and settled in for the night. In the morning we opened the curtains to glorious sunshine and a sea view from our balcony which made us incredibly excited for the week ahead!  As you can see from my mini vlog, Fueteventura is a windy place but that breeze is a godsend for keeping you cool and giving you an amazing tan – even I, the bride of Dracula, came back with a super summer glow which is usually unheard of! The weather was fabulous all week with temperatures in the mid-late 20’s which alongside the breeze was just perfect.Jandia princess hotel fuerteventura, hotel review, uk travel blogger, uk travel blog

We spent most of our time around the Adults Only Chill Out Pool with gentle music playing and fantastic staff at the swim up bar (hi Eric!). We sunbathed, read our books, enjoyed *ahem* a couple of drinks and feasted on the fresh Spanish cuisine on offer both at lunch and dinner. Lunchtime was spent outside looking out over the sea with fresh salads and paella, in the evening inside with an array of themed dishes along with the more traditional and staple items. The food was amazing, resulting in me putting my 5lbs straight back on (it had nothing to do with the copious amounts of alcohol honest gov) and we both thoroughly enjoyed trying out new culinary delights – well done to Joe who peeled his first fresh shrimp! On Wednesday we booked one of the hotel’s Balinese sunbeds which entitled us to our own private double bed overlooking the beach and the sea with free-flowing fizz and fresh fruit – it was pure luxury. Wednesday was a particularly windy day but we were sheltered (and sweating!) on our private beds and spent the whole day reading, drinking and enjoying the views in each others arms; definitely recommended for one day of your stay.

It was the perfect week and just what both of us needed – isn’t it amazing what a bit of sunshine can do for you?! We both feel incredibly relaxed and would visit the Jandia Princess again in a heartbeat. Thomas Cook were fabulous too with both the outgoing and return flight very enjoyable, especially with their new in-flight meals designed by James Martin…yum yum! As it was a week just for us and the aim of the game was some serious R&R I didn’t film a lot, but if you wanted to take a look at my mini vlog you can watch it right here or on my youtube channel xaxameliaxax:

I’d 100% recommend the Jandia Princess for anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious and modern sunny holiday and if you can, definitely think about upgrading to a black band which not only gives you access to lots of yummy branded spirits (be careful of the Spanish measures!! “50/50?”) but also unlimited bottled water to help keep you hydrated during the day. Oh, and don’t forget your suncream! We really didn’t want our week to end but the time we had was completely perfect ♥

Happy Holidays everyone!
