Hi Kirsty, there’s no lid on these – the frangipane is the top. You can change the amount of frangipane you use in each tart if you would prefer more mincemeat, it’s completely up to you how much you spoon in 🙂 I usually save my extra frangipane mixture for other baking or put it in the fridge and use it for another batch up to a week later. I have’t tried freezing it before as it’s never around long enough in this house! Cut the frangipane in half if you’d prefer to make less 🙂 xax

Hi, so am I right in thinking there is no lid on these tarts? Also there seems to be way way too much frangipanie to tart ratio, have I done this right and can I freeze the filling to use another time?

These mince pies look and sound amazing! My favourite mince pies are the puff pastry ones, I could consume a whole box of them in one sitting. This is making me feel really Christmassy and I am starting to get a bit home sick.
