Having always atruggled with my skin, finding the right products to keep it looking at it’s best is tricky. It used to be my only problem was Acne, but now I’m fighting open pores, redness and fine lines so I thought it was about time to step it up.
As I get older I find myself searching for more concentrated and higher-end skincare products that target different things to fight these problem areas so when beautyflash* got in touch and asked if I’d like to try their free Face Mapping service I through myself into it face first! If you haven’t heard of beautyflash before they’re an online retailer of top hair and beauty brands at low prices with Therapists on hand to give as much advice as you need. You can email in for a free skin consultation or ‘Face Mapping’ service where your therapist will take a look at your skin concerns and reply with a personally tailored set of products to address your concerns.
Once I’d had my face mapping session with Lisa I chose my products from those suggested and started to use my new skincare regime. I always like to give a new regime a couple of months before talking about it to help my skin adjust and to allow for any problems, and and nearly three months in I have to say I’m loving it!
My main concerns were open pores, fine lines and wrinkles, breakouts and dullness with a bit of redness thrown in too (aren’t I lucky!) but with my new routine using the Dermalogica products above my skin is looking the best it’s looked in a long time. Breakouts are minimal (just around that time now), my skin is looking so much brighter thanks to the gorgeous Multi-Vitamin Power Recovery Masque (highly recommended) and my pores are looking nice and tight again. Redness has all but disappeared thanks to the Ultracalming Cleanser and my fine lines have reduced dramatically after using the light but powerful Active Moist moisturiser – it’s become my new go-to day moisturiser and a little goes SUCH a long way.
I love my new skincare regime and the advice from my therapist Lisa has proved invaluable in figuring out what I should be using to treat my different problem areas. Skincare really isn’t a one product fits all affair. I think it’s a really great service to offer especially when you’re shelling out on expensive skincare, it’s good to know you’re spending in the right direction – well done beautyflash (and Dermalogica of course!), I’m impressed!
Have you ordered from beautyflash before? Would you try face mapping?
