It’s back to reality after our lovely and super relaxing holiday to Crete and I’m so happy to say that life has taken a slower turn since we’ve been back – we can breath again! We had a weekend to recover when we arrived back in the uk which was spent unpacking, sleeping, adjusting to the Autumn weather and picking up little Wilson with his snazzy new haircut! We treated ourselves to a new candle from Woodwick to make the house smell beautiful and add a bit of Autumn luxury with it’s crackling wick and of course we caught up on all the great TV we’d missed – aaaall the important tasks!
On Monday I started the day with a bit of at home Yoga with my new Yoga Cards which was amazing if not a bit tricky being a total beginner followed by some healthy food to get back on track and lots of emails! In the afternoon I went out with Joe’s mum for lunch, the a show and lots of wine! We went to watch Priscilla Queen of the Desert and had such a fun afternoon together chatting, eating and drinking – it certainly made my first day back to work a breeze!
There were so many emails to answer and comments to reply to after our holiday as I managed to completely switch off for the whole week which did me a world of good! I came home to a pile of parcels to open too which felt like Christmas including an exciting one for the beauty blogger in me from Benefit – their new Air Patrol CC Eye Cream…can’t wait to give that bad boy a whirl!
On Thursday I went down to London to film with my friend Lauren who is one of my favourite youtubers talking all things fitness and body confidence. We had a great afternoon filming, chatting and drinking wine (videos on both of our channels coming soon!) before heading into London for a spooky blogger event with Barry M! We got to take a look at the new halloween collections at the London Bridge Experience, meet up with some old nail blogger buddies and I even met Madison one of my gorgeous readers which was amazing for me – thank you so much for coming to say hello! I came home on the train at about 9pm finishing a bit of work on the way and hopped straight into bed feeling super warm and fuzzy inside – you can’t beat a productive day the office and catching up with lovely people.
On Friday I took my mum with me to Hoar Cross Hall for a mummy-daughter spa day with lots of relaxing, book reading and of course some pamper treatments. I feel so lucky to be able to spend more time with my lovely mum and share the opportunities I get with my friends and family – there will be a blog post coming soon but we had such a lovely day in a stunning setting.
At the weekend I went a little off radar with a chilled out two days. The weather was beautiful so on Saturday we took Wilson for his first trip to a beer garden and spent a good couple of hours in the sunshine enjoying a beer or three! The rest of the weekend was filled with great food and sofa cuddles – two of my favourite things!
An exciting week ahead this week with more trips to London, new exercise classes and girly dates all round!
