This week has been full to the brim with festive cheer as we put up our little Christmas tree and adorned the house with decorations in every corner! Life is so busy at the moment and filled with lots of naughty food that my Kayla Itsines guide has been saving my butt – or should we say saving it from becoming the size of a house! Exercising is hard at this time of year when you just want to be cuddled up with a glass of red wine instead but with just half an hour out of your day it’s a brilliant way to help ward off some of those extra Christmas calories. Speaking of which, i’m thoroughly enjoying my Ginvent Calendar too! I’ve already discovered a new favourite gin and saving them up for Friday makes for a great weekend – cheers!
I’ve found so many adorable decorations this year to put around the house – i’m thinking of filming a little video with them all in so do drop me a tweet @xameliax if you’d like to see that! We spent the whole evening on Wednesday putting up our decorations, baking yummy treats and listening to my favourite Christmas album. When we’d finished our living room was twinkling away and we were incredibly proud of our work!
This weekend i headed over to Francesco’s to get my unruly locks trimmed which was well overdue! They did a fab job as usual and i enjoyed a good natter with my stylist over an ice cold beer. In the evening we popped a bottle of champers and Joe took me out for dinner at a lovely restaurant near us where we ate a lot of cheese, delicious duck and naughty puddings before snuggling up in the warm lounge drinking and chatting until the early hours – i do love our little date nights.
Sunday was spent baking in the kitchen together with Michael Buble playing in the background – Christmas pj’s on with lots of delicious smells flowing through the house! I made a batch of Mincewell Tarts (Or Bakewell Mince Pies!) that will be on the blog later this week, and i also whipped up some Christmas Spiced Cookies (similar to my Ginger Halloween biscuits) which will also be up in the next few weeks for you to have a go at! In the evening we went out for a curry for Joe’s mum’s birthday which was absolutely delicious – a good festive week and weekend all round!
Mission for this week: Actually start buying some Christmas presents…oops!
