When i get ready for work in the mornings i’m always in a rush so i normally just fill in my eyebrows with a pencil. I’d been meaning to try a brow kit of some sort for a while but was worried about how long it would take me and if i’d be able to use it every day, so it wasn’t until i went up my local benefit counter and one of the lovely Benebabes showed me how easy their Browzings Kit was to use and how amazing my brows could look, that i actually caved and brought the kit.
I’ll be completely honest, since buying this kit I haven’t looked back. My poor little pencil has been retired to the bottom of my makeup bag never to be used on my eyebrows again! It took me a few days to be able to get my brows done at the speed i wanted to but now i’m filling them in like a pro every morning with minutes to spare! If you haven’t seen it before, Benefit Browzings is a kit with an eyebrow wax to keep your eyebrow hairs in place and a shadow to help fill in any bare patches. It also comes with a mini angled brush, a mini blending brush and some iddy biddy tweezers – cute. I use the brushes that come with the kit to do mine and i think they do they job fine, they can be a bit fiddly to hold if you’re in a rush though so i’ve been looking into buying a normal size angled brush to use instead. The only thing that disappoints me slightly with this kit is how easily it smudges – it just doesn’t seem to set, especially if you get a bit warm! Now i’m not saying that i end up with my eyebrows halfway down my face at the end of the day because they don’t tend to slip, but just be warned that if you accidentally catch one with your fingers when you’re brushing your fringe behind your ears in the middle of a busy Debenhams, you will end up with it across your forehead…for about 20 minutes before you catch yourself in a mirror and realise. Best day ever.
I love how portable it is too – you can pop it in your handbag for on the go touch ups (not that i ever think they need it) and it doesn’t take up too much room in your makeup bag. I find that the look you get with the browzings kit is so much more natural than a pencil and the angled brush allows you to get a sharper edge. I have the light set, but it comes in light medium and dark to match your hair colour and i think at £22.50 it’s a wise investment. I’ve been using mine every day for over a month now and it doesn’t seem to have gone down at all.
You can buy a Browzings kit from your local Benefit counter or from their website HERE! It even comes with a handy instruction booklet to help you find the right shape of brow for your face.
Have you tried Benefit Browzings? Will you ever go back to a pencil?
