Eating Our Way Into The Autumn Season with Bella Italia’s New Menu

Sponsored Review with Bella Italia

I absolutely adore Autumn. Cosy nights in, big jumpers, roaring fires and comfort food…lots of comfort food! And what’s more comforting than a big bowl of pasta or a freshly made pizza – am I right?!

Introducing Bella Italia’s autumn menu which launched on 9th October, filled with 17 fresh and comforting new Italian dishes that taste perfect for any autumn lunch or dinner as the night’s draw in. Some girlfriends and I went over to Birmingham last weekend to give the new menu a whirl and try out some of the delicious dishes Bella Italia are serving right now, nationwide.

After being led to our table in the warm restaurant, we ordered a round of mocktails to enjoy which were zesty and refreshing – sadly it was a little too early for an Aperol Spritz! Our server was incredibly friendly and so knowledgeable about everything we ordered, and it was a seamless experience from start to finish. We got to try a number of the new dishes, nibbling away at the different appetizers, pastas, pizzas and of course desserts on offer with exclamations of delight all round from us.

We tried ‘Polpette’ which is vegan spaghetti and meatballs, warm Dough Swirls infused with garlic butter, ‘Ravioli Tonno Puttanesca’ which is a tuna ravioli, ‘Frutti Di Mare’ seafood pizza, ‘Sicilian Pollo Rosso’ which is a chicken and red pesto pasta bowl and ‘Risotto Capesante’ which is a creamy risotto with queen scallops and more…they nearly had to roll us out of there!

My favourites had to be the Sicilian Pollo Rosso which includes a Sicilian red pesto sauce (the sauce is actually supplied from a family supplier in Italy!), and the pizza; their pizza bases are SO good and really authentic, I had no idea! The Dough Swirls were also amazing – I could eat about five myself! Sit me down with a plate of those and a bottle of pinot and I’m one happy bunny!

We also had the pleasure of tackling two delicious desserts – a classic Tiramisu and the ‘Chocolate Orange Brownie’. Now I’m not a huge fan of Tiramisu – despite being a very big fan of coffee, cake and cream individually! But that chocolate orange brownie was HEAVEN.

It was all rounded off with a nice cheeky little espresso to pick us up and out of our food comas before we rolled our way home! To top it all off, Bella Italia have launched the new menu with an incredible offer of 40% off mains until November 4th, so you can try all these amazing dishes and more at amazing prices – perfect for a girl’s night out or even date night – You can see the full offer here!

Bella Italia you have out done yourself with this new menu and I will certainly be back for another round of that pizza!
