It’s that time of year when the sun comes out and wreaks havoc with our makeup! Gone are the thick coverage foundations and matte blushers and in come the highlighters and bronzing products. Here are the products I reach for when the sun comes out to play…
Jurlique Rose Balancing Mist – I bloomin’ love face mists and the Jurlique Rose Balancing Mist is one of my favourites. I’ve had a few bottles of this over the years and it looks so pretty on your makeup desk! The rose helps to calm red skin and it works wonders at cooling you down during the day and refreshing your makeup!
Hoola Bronzer – One of my favourite bronzers is Benefit’s Hoola. It’s such a beautiful shade that goes with my tanned self and my pale tones too! It’s blendable, subtle and just perfect for this time of year to brighten up your complexion and giving you a bit of a summer glow.
Coralista Blush – It’s that time! Time to swap the berry shades for coral and this is my favourite coral blusher again from Benefit. With a subtle shimmer and beautiful peach colour it’s just gorgeous for the summer months.
Porefessional Primer – It’s hot, we sweat, makeup slips. Not with Porefessional! Hands down the best primer I own – fantastic for large pores, uneven skin tone and keeping makeup in place all day.
Urban Decay After Glow Highlighter – This is a new edition to my beauty bag and I bloomin’ love it!!! It’s super pigmented but not over the top on the ‘glitter’ and it blends beautifully. Perfect for those with pale skin tones as I have the shade Aura but you can go a little more glowy with the other shades! Definitely one to invest in – it’s gorgeous.
Shy Beam – A new one for me but something I’ve found myself using every single day. Shy Beam is a matte highlighter from Benefit that comes in liquid form and is PERFECT for brightening the high parts of your face and bringing an understated glow. I’d highly recommend checking this one out if you haven’t yet – team it with a beauty blender and you’ll be blown away. So good.
Dew The Hoola – Another new product in my beauty draw, Benefit Dew The Hoola, a liquid bronzer thats fantastic for adjusting your foundation as you tan. Just add a little to your usual foundation to gently darken the colour to match with your sun kissed skin. It’s super light and really subtle – pretty much an essential for summer.
Agent Zero Shine – I’ve raved and raved about this product so many times along with License to Blot. It’s one of the best shine busting primers I’ve ever used and License to Blot? Well, that’s just magic in a tube. Find out why…
Nude Lips: Urban Decay Gwen Stefani 714 MAC Velvet Teddy – Just like my blusher in the summer I switch up the berry shades for something a bit lighter on the lips. My go to nude lips are UD Gwen Stefani in 714 ad MAC Velvet Teddy, both of which I’m nearly out of! You can’t beat a nude lip at any time of year but I tend to reach for them more in the summer.
