So that’s Christmas for another year – blink and you miss it! This year was so chilled out for us and as you can see from the photos very Wilson focused as it was not only his first year with us but our first year with a doggy full stop! I’m not ashamed to say he had his own stocking and I wrapped up all his pressies – yes I’m that lady – and we all had such a glorious time eating, drinking, exchanging gifts and celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.
Now THAT’S My Kind Of Cracker!
The past three years Joe and I have cultivated quite a lovely little tradition on Christmas day! Opening our pressies on the bed with a cup of tea before coming downstairs to open presents from the rest of the family with a cold glass of buck’s fizz and some fancy salmon blinis. Wilson loved ripping open his presents and annoyingly out of all the new toys we bought him he took a shine to a rubber brush and will not put it down!
After breakfast we hopped in the shower to get ready for Christmas Dinner! This year it was Joe’s Mum and Dad’s turn to have us and as my parents had buggered off to Barbados we didn’t have to be up and out on Boxing Day too – pass the wine! We went out to a favourite pub for Christmas lunch as Jane didn’t fancy slaving in a hot kitchen all day (here here!) and so we hopped in a taxi, ate, drank and were taken care of by the lovely waiting staff who had given up their big day to look after us…needless to say they got a big tip!
In the evening we took Wilson round (in his snazzy shirt tie and Christmas jumper that he got too hot in!) to Joe’s Mum and Dad’s house for more food, drink, presents and games – it couldn’t have been more perfect. Boxing Day was spent plowing through the Christmas choccies and watching films on Sky movies wrapped up in our Christmas PJ’s with a festive candle flickering away.

I hope you all had the best Christmas and took some time to switch off and celebrate with those dearest to you. I bloomin’ love Christmas and I wouldn’t have changed ours for the world…even if I never want to look at another Roses chocolate ever again!
